Dr. Brittany Blake

My name is Dr. Brittany A. Blake and I am a Chiropractic Physician in Eagle River.  I have been very active since a young age by competing in cross country skiing, running, track, basketball, and went to Clemson University, where I was on the rowing team.

I am always looking for different ways to challenge myself. Whether it is mentally or physically, I am continuously setting new goals.  I believe that the best way to gain personal growth is to always have something on the horizon.

Now that I am done with graduate school I want to physically challenge myself to compete in the April 4th 2015 NPC Alaska State Bodybuilding Competition in the Bikini Division.

I have competed before in Florida when I was in Chiropractic School and am eager to get back on stage.  My first go-around I prepped and trained on my own....ok, actually, my darling husband Hunter did almost all of my meal prep as I was in school from sun up until sun down every day.

Basically, I had no clue what I was doing, especially in the diet and posing department but somehow managed to get fourth!!  After placing in my FIRST competition, I got the "bug" and am ready to get back at it.

I am SO thankful to have found the Midnight Sun Muscle Club and Coach Carrieann Hall.  Not only am I gaining knowledge, but I am gaining confidence, as well.  It is wonderful to have such an amazing and supportive group of women to go on this journey with!

Rachel Mayer

Hi.  My name Rachel Mayer. I am a wife and mother of four. I am a stay at home mom but to my kids I am a doctor, teacher, cheerleader, coach - everything wrapped into one ball.

I have never competed in an NPC Competition nor have I even imagined competing but once the option was introduced to me, that's all I've dream't about and thought about since.

I am so excited and honored to be a part of The Midnight Sun Muscle Club and the women associated with the team.

I now know that, with the support of my coach, Carrieann Hall and my fellow competitor/teammates, I can achieve this dream been stirred in me.

Jennifer Dawkins

My name is Jennifer Dawkins and I'm a 42 year old mom, wife and small business owner in Wasilla, Alaska.

I've always been a very active person and, as a young girl, I was always playing outside, riding horses, fishing and riding my bike but was never an "athletic" person in high school.  As an adult, I've always enjoyed working out at the gym and being active outdoors.

When I was about 22, I had fleeting thoughts of maybe "bodybuilding" and competing but it was never a path I followed.  I strive to stay in shape and be active and have been seeking a true goal to get me to where I'd like to see myself physically so I'm not sure if it was luck or fate that I met Coach Carrieann Hall and the women of The Midnight Sun Muscle Club, but I'm glad I did.

My first thoughts of becoming a "bikini competitor" were quite terrifying and I didn't want to tell anyone about it for fear of complete failure, but Iv'e found that the more I talk about it, the more I feel better and excited about it.

I look forward to transforming my body: I look forward to a time where, when I look at that mirror image, I have a new outlook on my appearance as I've always been a bit modest and somewhat timid in that area.

For the first time, I have a goal and a reason to get to the gym every day and make it a part of my daily routine.  It's exciting to set new personal goals and I can't wait to see where this new path takes me.
